Within your media plan you may need to modify, add or remove placement details. Most fields are editable by simply clicking in the field.
Placement name gives you the flexibility to name placements as you want. This field will be automatically populated based on details you enter in the plan, so you can skip it when entering your plan.
The placement name will default to display <Program Name> | <Product Name>. You can modify these on an individual basis.
Placement Names can be customized for your company, as well as for individual Advertisers. See Placement Names for more information.
Here you will enter the brand through which you are advertising.
Begin free-typing and a list of related options will appear. Bionic has a vast directory of programs, but if you cannot find the program you are looking for, you can create a private program. For more information on Programs and Data Cards click here.
When you click in the Product field, you will be presented with product options from the data card for that program.
You can either select from the menu or manually enter a product. Products added manually will automatically be added to your "custom products" on the data card so that you may access them later.
You can manually enter targeting in the targeting field.
Click in the field and enter the Audience you wish to focus on.
Resizing the field
For instances where the targeting is extensive and you need a bigger view of the text, you may resize the field.
At the bottom right corner of the field, position the cursor until you see a diagonal arrow. Then pull the field to the desired size.
When you click out of the field, it will automatically go back to normal field size & display the first portion of the content.
NOTE: Resizing also applies to the Ad Specs field.
This field will automatically populate if you selected a Product from the menu. The field should represent the respective channel for this line item. Channels must be selected by using the dropdown menu that is provided.
The ad unit will automatically populate if you selected a Product from the menu. The field should present the appropriate ad unit for this line item.
The Ad Specs field will allow you to enter Ad Specs as needed.
When you hover over a line item, the field will come into view. Click in the field to edit it.
You can manually type the data or you can copy/paste when possible.
Any data entered will be stored to the product in the data card and will automatically populate the next time you select that product.
If a vendor submits a proposal, they may also include ad specs. In that situation, the ad specs will automatically populate the field when you accept the proposal.
If ad specs have been included in the data card by Bionic, those will also automatically populate.
If you change the ad specs from what the vendor submits, or those that Bionic included, that version will be stored as your own private ad specs and automatically populate each time you select that product.
If you would like to identify the Ad associated with this placement, you can select it in the Ad column. This will allow you to include the Ad in your media plan presentation and reporting.
Once selected, the Ad will appear in your plan.

The flight dates will automatically populate based on the flight dates set for the campaign. However, you may click in the fields to modify specific line items. Dates can either be selected from the calendar or free typed using the mm/dd/yyyy format.
When you click into the End Date field, you can select from the available End Date Policies. The End Date will automatically populate based on the Start Date and policy selected, unless Specific Date is the policy.
Future changes to the Start Date will automatically change the End Date based on the policy.
Day parts allow you to identify specific days and times ads will run. It will default to Every Day, All Day.
To identify specific days of the week, click in the first field to display the menu.
By default, all days will be selected. You may use the shortcut options at the top to make it easy. For example, if you deselect Weekdays, the Every Day, Weekdays, and all week day selections will automatically get deselected - leaving you with just Weekends, Saturdays & Sundays.
To select specific times, click in the 2nd field.
The menu will automatically reflect "schemes" applicable to the placement channel. You can select from the displayed times, or use the Custom option to identify specific time ranges.

The Rates will automatically pull from the data card, if available. Otherwise, you will need to enter them.
Currency will default based on the currency set in campaign settings. If multiple currency is allowed in the campaign settings, you can change the currency for individual placements
Enter or adjust the rate as needed.
Identify the Unit (CPM, CPC, Per Spot, etc). For more information on cost methods click here.
Select between Net, Gross, or Total.
If you would like to begin with a budget and back out any additional fees to calculate your Net (working) Media Cost, simply select Flat as your Rate Type, Total, and enter your budget as the Rate.
Rates will be added to "Our Rate" in the data card to help you keep track of current rates being paid for individual products.
Enter the quantity that is applicable to the rate type.
Costs are automatically calculated based on your Rate, Method, & Quantity as applicable.
Gross Media Cost
If Rate = Gross, this will reflect the Rate calculation.
If Rate = Net, this will reflect the calculated Gross Media Cost from the Net Media Cost and Discount or Savings.
Reflects the % to calculate Net Media Cost. The default value is set in the Campaign Settings. You can change this value by clicking in the field and entering a new value. Changes here will automatically update the Savings field.
By default, this will be the calculated monetary amount saved between the Gross Media Cost & Net Media Cost. You can override this value by clicking in the field and entering a new value. Changes here will automatically update the Discount %.
Net Media Cost
If Rate = Net, this will reflect the Rate calculation.
If Rate = Gross, this will reflect the calculated Net Media Cost from the Gross Media Cost and Discount or Savings.
Production Costs, Agency Compensation, Delivery Costs

If you have set up Buckets, you can select the appropriate Bucket to apply this placement to.
You can toggle the include flag on and off for individual line items. This will allow you to test the media plan without particular line items without having to delete them permanently. When toggled off, the line will be removed from Flowcharts, Allocations, and exports.
When a placement channel is Television or Radio, additional broadcast related fields will automatically display. For complete information about using these fields see Adding Ratings, GRPs, And Other Broadcast Data To Your Media Plan.
Non-Broadcast Reach & Frequency Fields
When a placement is not a broadcast channel, fields are made available to track reach and frequency specific to these types of channels. For complete information about using these fields see Reach & Frequency For Non-Broadcast Channels.
Task columns will be displayed in your media plan if you have opted to include them in your Campaign Settings.
You can enter the Due Date, who the task is assigned to, Reminder Days, and update the status.
Landing Page URL & Tracking URL
Enter the landing page URL that you are working with and Bionic will automatically produce a Tracking URL unique to the landing page you entered. The URL includes unique campaign IDs and consistent naming standards to ensure accurate tracking.
This default URL can be customized to meet requirements you or your client may have and will work for any platform. Additional information for setting up custom Tracking URLs can be found here.
The Tracking URL provides a Copy button for easy transfer into another applications if needed. You can also export these URLs. For more information on this export click here.
Integration Partner IDs
When incorporating performance data back into your media plan, Bionic doesn't know where to pull the data from unless you provide some instruction. You will do this by adding the unique IDs provided by the respective integration partner for each placement.
Enter the unique ID provided by the Integration Partner in the respective Source ID field

KPIs allow you to determine the advertising investment that is needed to achieve a specific goal. Or if you have a set spending limit, KPIs will help you identify how to best invest it. This data can be used in combination with Performance data to track your planned goals against your actuals.
The KPIs displayed will vary based on your plan. By default, KPIs related to your rate will automatically display. Additional KPIs can be added in your Campaign Settings under the KPI Columns section.
The KPIs related to your rate will only be editable by changing the rate & quantity.
KPIs added in the Campaign Settings will automatically display the Default Cost Efficiency value (.20 Cost Per Click) and calculate the goal (1,500 Clicks). You are not required to set a default value, but you must identify the Cost Basis to ensure calculations are correct.
You can override the Cost Per value directly. An indicator will be presented identifying it as a custom value. Changes to the Cost Per will automatically adjust the Goal.
Alternatively, you can enter your Goal (3,000) to calculate your Cost Efficiency (.10 CPC).
KPIs can be removed for individual placements by pressing the Exclude button.
When the Cost Per is changed from the default, the Reset button can be used to revert the value back to the default.
This section will represent any additional data columns you may need. These can include Text, Date, Picklist, Number, and Money formatted data. You can learn about setting up Custom Columns here.
Notes can be found at the end of your media plan. They allow you to comment on topics surrounding the individual line item.
Click on the Notes icon to add / update notes.
After entering / editing your note, press the Save button.
