Performance Tab 2.0

One of the biggest developments in the past 20 years of advertising has been the accuracy and precision with which we measure our media’s performance. But unfortunately, the systems that allow us to connect the dots between our goals and results are still in the 90’s. As a result, media teams use a collection of platforms, tools, and spreadsheets to compare what they were promised with what was delivered. Until now...

This release of Bionic brings cutting edge Marketing Performance Management capability to media teams around the world. You can now view all your media goals and KPIs along side the real-world results, and you can do so at whatever granularity or time period you desire.

A clear view of your marketing performance

In the newest release, we take the classic graphic chart view of your media performance data and put it into a data rich tabular view. This accomplishes a few things…

First, it allows you to see multiple metrics in one screen—including metrics like media cost, impressions, clicks, and the “cost per” of all of your KPIs. You can also see the pacing of your media to ensure that you are on track to achieve your goals represented by a colored emoji for quick reference.

Second, it allows you to compare time periods, campaigns, or advertisers against each other. For example, if you want to compare week-to-week or even day-to-day you can set up your media performance table to give you a row for the time period and metric that you want to examine.

Third, you can now focus on the time period that is important to you. If you have a year-long campaign, but only want to compare the week-by-week performance for the last four weeks, you can select your lookback period and zero-in on the data you need.

Fourth, clicking on the emoji displays a trove of insights. You can see precise performance data for the period selected, your cumulative performance (which measures total to-date performance), and you can judge your pacing for each period.

Fifth, you can download your data selected into an excel spreadsheet for further analysis, delivery to key stakeholders, or to use to build custom charts and graphics.

Sixth, you can still access the traditional graphical view and download your PNG or PDF image of the graph or the full excel version of your daily planned, actual, progress, pace, and cost per data.

Better Filters

In addition to updates to the Performance Tab, you will also notice new filters in the History of both your Media Plan and Budget Tabs.

The history of a large campaign can be pretty dense. With filters, you can view and undo changes made during a specific time period, by a specific person, or to a specific item. You can also focus on types of changes by filtering by the action type and/or the property that was changed.
