Manually uploading performance data from a template is a basic integration option available for all Integrations. It is the method most typically used when receiving data from 3rd party vendors (email results, site served) or when the data source doesn't offer reporting or is missing critical data fields from their reporting required for uploading data.
With this method you will be downloading the template, entering the performance data, and uploading back to Bionic.
In this example, I have 2 placements I have included as Site Served. See instructions on Mapping Placements to Receive Performance Data for additional help.
Download The Template
In a campaign, click on the Settings tab.
Click on the Integrations settings.
This will display your Integrations.
You will need to download (separately) the template for each integration you are using it for. In this example, I am using Site Served.
Press the Download icon for the Integration you want to download.
Identify the File Names & Lines
File Name - You may use the default file name or change it as desired.
Select Lines - Identify whether you want to download all lines in this campaign included in this integration, or just a specific line.
Press Download
In the Open dialog box, select Open With if you want to see the file. Otherwise select Save File.
Press OK.
The resulting Excel template will output your placements in the required format and provide the necessary metrics that you can fill in.
Date - Each placement will be broken out day-by-day across the dates it is specified to run in the plan.
Bionic Placement ID - Each placement is given a unique placement ID. This ID is included in the template so that when you load data back in, it will know which placement to link it to.
Bionic Placement Name - The placement name automatically generated by Bionic located at the beginning of the media plan.
Source ID & Source Group ID - The unique IDs generated by the originating source of the results data. This is only necessary if you are pulling data from another platform.
Metrics - The specific metrics will vary as applicable based on the Integration you downloaded it from.
For each day, you will enter the resulting metrics as provided to you.
TIP #1: You can have vendors complete this data for you. Break out this template into separate files for each vendor. Include just the placements applicable to that vendor and send it to them to complete. You can upload the individual files as you receive them back.
TIP #2: Some vendors provide results with weekly or monthly totals instead of daily. In those cases, you can enter the total in the first or last date for the period. In the case of weekly data, you could enter it for the Sunday or Saturday of that week. Or for monthly, the first or last day of that month.
Upload The Results
Once you have data completed in your template, you are ready to upload it.
Go to your campaign, click on the Settings tab.
Click on the Integrations settings.
This will display your Integrations.
Press the Upload icon for the Integration you want to upload data for. In this example, Site Served.
In the Upload dialog, use the Browse button to select your file.
Press Upload to start the Upload process.
You will receive an status indicator letting you know the progress of the upload. You can leave this page while the file is getting uploaded.
Once complete, your data will be available to view on the Performance tab of the campaign.
